Mystery look 64: The power of balance
The contrast; Black & White reminds me of a Taijitu symbol A.K.A the "Yin and Yang". I'll give you a quick run down. The basis of the meaning of the symbol is; opposites are complementary.
Think about it for a second.
We experience and see it DAILY, we deal with polarities, we see it everyday, society can be judgmental towards those who dare to be different. We all know this I'm sure you might have experienced, in some shape or form. At some point of your life, the first time you "tried to be yourself", you dress up allll fly, in your favorite outfit for a family party, or a dinner, bar mitvah; you come out, feeling like a movie star, background music and everything. Then all of a sudden POOF! your bubble gets popped, or at least they intend to.
A family member shouts— what's wrong with you?!, have you gone mad? Take that off right now! You can't wear that." How MANY times has that happened to you? And, you go back into your mystery closet and change your outfit. On the contrary, presently, you're here right now, reading this, so chances are that you are like me. Don't underestimate the ability to say F U — kindly, always. We are those who balance the world, keep it beautiful vibrant, and fresh. There's magic in opposites, whilst at the same time knowing we are connected, we are whole, we are one. One isn't greater without the other.
"THE BLACK AND WHITE COMBINATION IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. IT EXUDES THE POWER, BALANCE, CLASS, ENERGY OF THE TAIJITU"
The oneness that Ying and Yang represent how neither is greater without the other, yet, together they form a dynamic whole (Powerful!) —that's greater than all the assembled parts apart. Look at it the way you want to look at it, these two colors were made for each other. Don't let anyone EVER dull your sparkle.
